April 28, 2023

Every year on April 28, Workers’ Memorial Day is observed to honor and remember those who have been killed or injured on the job. This day calls attention to workplace safety issues and advocates for greater safety for all workers.

At the Law Offices of Robert E. Wisniewski, we take Workers’ Memorial Day to heart, as our mission aligns closely with that of Kids’ Chance of Arizona, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities through scholarships to children whose parents have been permanently disabled or killed as a result of a workplace injury.

Worker's memorial day

To date, Kids’ Chance of Arizona has provided 341 scholarships totaling $789,829.50 to deserving students. The organization is a qualified 501(c)3 non-profit in the state of Arizona and is driven by an entirely volunteer board of directors.

Mr. Wisniewski explains his commitment to the organization this way:

“I have been involved with Kids’ Chance of Arizona since its inception nearly 25 years ago. For almost two decades, I served on both the board and the advisory board. Personally and through my law firm, we have consistently been the largest financial contributors to Kids’ Chance of Arizona. We have also actively promoted the organization, encouraging our clients to apply for scholarships on behalf of their children. While I have recently taken a step back from my involvement, my colleague Javier Grajeda has assumed an active role as a board member for Kids’ Chance of Arizona.”

The Law Offices of Robert E. Wisniewski is proud to be the largest sponsoring law firm in the state of Arizona for Kids’ Chance of Arizona. No other law firm contributes more to ensure the availability of scholarship money for the children of injured workers. Mr. Wisniewski’s involvement with the organization continues through his advisory board role for the college scholarship program, and the firm remains an active financial supporter of this worthy charity.

Kids’ Chance of Arizona understands the immense impact a worker’s death or injury can have on the entire family, particularly the children.

Finances change rapidly, and future plans become uncertain. Under these circumstances, sending a child to college can be incredibly challenging or even impossible. Kids’ Chance scholarships help the children of these workers achieve their educational goals, making a brighter, more productive future possible.

Join the cause

On Workers’ Memorial Day, Kids’ Chance invites the community to join them in observing this important day by visibly standing with these workers and their families. The Law Offices of Robert E. Wisniewski is proud to support Kids’ Chance of Arizona in this mission, and we encourage everyone to recognize the significance of workplace safety and the lasting effects it has on the lives of workers and their families.

As we honor those who have lost their lives or been injured on the job, let us also take the opportunity to support and celebrate the incredible work of organizations like Kids’ Chance of Arizona that strive to provide hope and opportunity for the children of these workers. By standing together as a community, we can help to create a safer, more secure future for all workers and their families.
