Peoria, AZ — June 17, 2025 — In recognition of PTSD Awareness Month, the Law Offices of Robert E. Wisniewski was honored to serve as a Perseverance Sponsor of the 7th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K Run/Walk, hosted by Comprehensive Fitness and Consultation and benefiting the First Responder PTS Foundation. The event drew over 150 participants and supporters united in their commitment to raise awareness about post-traumatic stress disorder among first responders.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after exposure to traumatic events, causing symptoms such as flashbacks, severe anxiety, nightmares, and uncontrollable thoughts. According to a SAMHSA bulletin, an estimated 30% of first responders develop behavioral health conditions, including PTSD—significantly higher than the 20% prevalence in the general population.
“First responders face the worst days of people’s lives—and often carry those memories home with them,” said Attorney Bob Wisniewski. “This race is about honoring their courage and reminding them they are not alone.”
Attorney Bob Wisniewski, founder of the law firm, served as the emcee for the day’s events, energizing the crowd and honoring the courage of those impacted by PTSD. Volunteers from across the community arrived early to assemble goodie bags provided by the firm. On race day, volunteers helped set up the racecourse, assist with registration, hand out water, and support the awards ceremony—all while cheering on runners and walkers every step of the way.
The atmosphere was festive, thanks in part to DJ Confidential, who provided upbeat music and audio support throughout the day. Awards were presented to the top male and female finishers across six age groups, celebrating both performance and perseverance.
The Law Offices of Robert E. Wisniewski is proud to support the First Responder PTS Foundation in its mission to offer hope, healing, and resources to those who serve and protect our communities.
